Attended UMD with about 70 other of our classmates - sometimes the halls looked like Edina East. Took the seven year plan, graduating in 1982 with BA in Political Science. Looked in the paper - amazingly, no political scientist jobs. So, did what most Pol Sci grads do - went to law school. Graduated from U of M Law School in 1985. Along the way, I met Kris Dunphy, and we were married in 2/86. I worked in several firms, ultimately landing at Arthur Chapman in Minneapolis, specializing in defending businesses in workers' compensation litigation. Two kids entered the picture - Claire in 1990 (she starts law school this fall) and Erik in 1995 (junior in college). For fun, we have traveled extensively. Coached my kids in just about every sport I can think of. Cub and Boy Scout leader for my son for 11 years. Part owner of a farm near New York Mills - used exclusively for recreation and hunting. I have continued in my love of the outdoors. Just recently did some backpacking on the Superior Hiking Trail - picture attached.
